Welcome...
..and be my guest!
Please make your way down the walkway
to the galleries (use the tabs above to navigate).
Enjoy my work, each fine art image lovingly crafted, and take an
emotive journey
wherever it may lead you...
I’m
attracted by light and line, tone and texture, pattern and perspective, structure and
abstraction and love to explore them through my camera lens. And
maybe you'll enjoy seeing what I think are the raw essentials
of scenes. Of course, working in black and white, the photo out of
the camera is only the
starting point; in the digital darkroom I try to bring
out and reveal what's already there, but drowned out by the colour.
You be the judge of whether I manage it or not...
What's
new...
I've been working on some photos of the famous Sainsburys Sails landmark ...read and see
more in my blog. ...and, of course, I've been working towards my exhibition in Park Art at Tamar Science Park - see panel on right.
All
photos in the galleries can be used as wallpaper for your mobile -

Reviewing my work...
If you have browsed through my
images, consider writing a review of my body of work. You
might like to
express the emotions you felt as you viewed them, the memories they
brought back or how they affected your spirits. I really do
value
your feedback.
..or simply click a star
to rate my work overall.. or both!
Every so often when I update the site, I feature a photo that I really enjoyed crafting.
This update's featured mono is
..called "Knot A Rope Knot"
I'll let you have a look at it before I have my say...

"contrast..."
This first thing that attracted my attention about this piece was that
of the contrast between the rough textures of the rope against the
intense smoothness of the wooden post and the blandness of the fabric
background.
"pattern..." So much in the
way of strong pattern - the intertwining strands of ever smaller
strands (Big fleas have little fleas, Upon their backs to bite 'em, And
little fleas have lesser fleas, And so ad infinitum) ...the delicious
patterns of the grain and the hints of knots in the wood. Oh, and the
humour in the two different kinds of knot :) - oh, how easy I am to
please!
"shape..." What a lovely shape that knot of rope makes, winding round and round and in and out - very pleasing. Next update - "Rose in Black and White"
..and finally, a big "Thank You"
..to
all my patrons and colleagues for your continuing support in my fine
art photography - you've given me the impetus to strive for even more....
